Adam and Eve
knew what would happen if they dined on forbidden fruit. They
deigned to dine. Jesus didn't have to be crucified. He made the
choice.
In more modern
times, Roberto Duran had to choose between getting his brains
beaten out by Sugar Ray Leonard, or bowing out in the middle
of the "no mas" fight with his face and fortune intact.
Even closer to
home, I can go stand in the middle of the freeway any time I
want to. Or not. That's a choice I make when I'm aware of all
the facts.
We all make choices
every day, but remember, we also choose the results of those
choices. Life isn't black or white. It's black and white -- and
a lot of other colors, too.
When you have
a decision that needs to be made, you have the right to pick
whatever option you want. But don't call me up later and say,
"Hey, I didn't know that was going to happen!"
When you flip
a coin, it hardly ever lands on edge.
